The Sweep is already one of the most popular and winning helmets on both the road and mountain bike circuits, but now it gets even better with an upgrade to Bell's Twin Axis Gear (TAG) fit system. TAG adjusts to your head on two axises, firstly for head circumference and then horizontally to better accommodate the position of your occipital lobe (the sticky-out bit on the back of your head!). For extra comfort the TAG arms are co-moulded with soft rubber resulting in the most adjustable, comfortable and easy-to-use fit system ever.
Deeply sculpted ventilation channels on the interior of the helmet liner brings cool air in through the front, passes it over the head and flushes warm air out of the rear ports to keep the air moving no matter where you are riding. In-moulding is the process of bonding the helmet micro shell to its EPS foam layer to provide a sturdier, more solid helmet, allowing lighter weight design and bigger vents with no loss of strength. This process was pioneered by Bell and is now the industry standard for all high-end helmets.
This is my 3rd Bell Sweep. I use it off road and on road an excellent helmet.

|How to measure yourself for a helmet|
|To find the circumference of your head, place a tape measure in the centre of your forehead, wrap it around above your ears and around the back of your head. If there's a slight difference between two different sizes, always go for the tighter size.|
Bell helmets differ across disciplines. We try and list the sizes with each product on the site, but if they're missing, these guidelines should help.
With superior build quality & ventilation, Bell cycling helmets provide maximum comfort making your biking experience safer.
Please note, all size information is provided as a guide - if you're unsure or need any further assistance you can call us on 01792 799508 ... we're happy to help!
All helmets we stock meet EU and international safety standards. High priced helmets are not necessarily stronger than an entry-level lid.
But, they will be more comfortable, lightweight and better vented. Premium lids come with more advanced features.
Measure your head size
Fit is essential for a comfortable ride. Wrap a tape measure around your head, just above your ears at the thickest part of your head.
Choose a helmet with plenty of vents to ensure you stay cool as you ride. Quality helmets use deep vents that connect to rear exhausts for maximum airflow.
Dial Fit Adjustment
Helmets with dial adjusters on the rear let you adjust the fit as you ride. The best dial adjusters are easy to use with one-hand so you can keep pedaling.
If you plan on commuting or riding on-road then look for helmets with reflective elements, bright designs or even integrated LED’s to improve your safety.
A small but useful feature is a removable visor. Great for mountain bikers, a visor can shield your eyes from glare, debris and rain.
Road bike helmets are lightweight with plenty of venting to keep you cool. Premium road helmets will come with aero profiling to help you slip through the wind.
MTB helmets are more durable with a thicker shell and good ventilation. You’ll find extended protection around the sides and rear of your head for maximum protection. Most come with a removable visor to protect against glare and debris.
Full Face Helmets
Full Face helmets offer the ultimate protection for downhill mounting biking. You get full side and rear coverage as well as a chin guard to keep your lower face shielded.
Skate helmets come with minimal venting in favour of a hardshell design offering side and rear protection. Great for the skatepark or pump track.
Urban helmets blend a hybrid of features from road and MTB helmet with added visibility for on-road safety. They are ideal for commuters.
MIPS is a new technology found on high-end bike helmets. It is a low friction layer inside the helmet that moves during rotational impacts. This movement reduces and slows energy being transferred to your head.
The idea behind MIPS is to reduce the risk of brain injury.
Many manufacturers have a Crash Replacement policy. If your helmet has been involved with a crash, you can buy a replacement at a reduced price.
Often crash replacement is available if your helmet is up to 3 years old and you’re a UK resident.
Check with the manufacturer of your helmet to see if you’re eligible for a discount.
