The 10-speed chorus crankset has been improved with a new surface anodization treatment making the chainrings more resistant to wear and corrosion. The asymmetric teeth of the inner ring and the 8 pins on the outer make shifting immediate. This optimizes the 11-speed operation. This led the Campy Lab Team to the ESP system, especially developed to reduce shift timing. Two diametrically opposed sectors, one for up- and two for down-shifting give instantaneous movement. The new darker colour gears - the result of a new anodization system - have a greater resistance to wear and saline corrosion. 34-50/39-53 Full carbon uni- and multi-directional Ultra-Hollow Structure cranks - light alloy fixing nuts and bolts - light alloy rings with ESP and hard anodization treatment - outer rings with 8 pins - Cult bearings -integrated Ultra-Tourque semi-axles.
