Oozing style and attitude the Cannondale Bad Boy 3 is a fast and functional hybrid sports bike. Whether you are commuting to work or just nipping to the shops the Bad Boy will turn even the most mundane urban journeys into a thrill ride.

The lightweight 6061 alloy frame features and aggressive geometry is stiff where it needs to be and combined with the Fatty rigid fork provides quick, responsive handling. Save Stays in the rear triangle offer vertical compliance for a smooth ride on rough roads.

Shimano hydraulic disc brakes provide powerful and reliable stopping in all weather conditions. The Shimano 3x9 speed drivetrain delivers a wide range of gear ratios for taking on all the gradients on your route. Rack and mudguard mounts add versatility while reflective paint on the tyres improves nighttime visibility.

Unlike any other hybrid bike, the Cannondale Bad Boy 3 will inspire fun on even the most mundane rides.

    A proper hybrid!

Most hybrids seem to be either a road bike with flat bars - good on the road but gears too high for off road - or a scaled down mountain bike, with MTB gear ratios. The Bad Boy (rubbish name, btw) sits nicely in the middle, a proper hybrid. The frame flexes in all the right places, cutting down road buzz but without feeling sloppy. It's responsive and agile and while the chainset isn't top of the line, the shifts are pretty good once it bedded in. The Schwalbe Kojak tyres are grippier that I expected, although I have now switched to a pair of Continental Speed cyclocross tyres for more light off road capability (no problem with clearences). Overall, this is a fun bike to ride and while it's happiest on the road (so am I), off road isn't a problem. Oh, and the paint job is super-stealth! The only real disappointment was the pedals - really odd looking and rather odd feel too. I upgraded to a pair of DMR V8s.
