Born in 2008, the Calf R2 is the number 1 selling compression guards in over 70 countries and has conquered the legs of the top triathletes in the world including Frederik Van Lierde and Caroline Steffen.

In addition to its thermo-regulating benefits, the R2 calf guards accelerate venous return preventing blood from stagnating in calves to help with recovery through the use of medically approved gradual compression.

Its shock and vibration absorption on muscles, veins and joints combined with its patented massaging effectfibre increases resistance to effort and studies have showed a significant reduction in lactic acid during effort.

Its recovery, performance enhancing properties and its lightweight and tear proof material make the R2 ideal to use during and after racing or training

    Great (a bit expensive)

Been using Compressport gear for around 18 months now, mainly for running. My incidence of leg injury has reduced significantly, especially in the calfs. So far used the previous model which are well made and showing minimal wear despite lots of use (also require minimal care - after use I just take these into the shower and wash/rinse them by hand in a minute or so!). This new model feels much the same, maybe a tad thinner fabric but providing equivalent compression. Only reservation is the lettering on the upper hem which is what I'd describe as 'transfer plastic' - non-stretch so I can imagine it will soon split. This is only cosmetic of course so no real issue. Bought these new ones mainly for a change of colour (bit vain that way)! Tredz provided a great price compared to other suppliers but I do feel that in general, Compressport goods are a bitexpensive (but no more expensive than Salomon for e.g.) - guess you have to pay the asking price for this level of quality!
