    Excellent tyres

We have these on our cyclocross bikes and love them. Just bought 2 more for my daughter's bike as they are really versatile. They manage gravel and mucky tracks but roll fast on Tarmac. Not the most puncture resistant but comfortable ride. Can't have it all.

Good grippy tyre but a little puncture prone

I have had these tyres on the bike for around 1,000 miles in all conditions including wet grass, light mud, ice and of course dry and wet tarmac. The tyre performs well with good reliable traction in most conditions. On ice / snow going up hill I found the rear tyre .momentarily lost traction but then again it is not a studded tyre and I must say that I was impressed at the performance in these conditions. On tarmac the tyre is faultless eating up the miles with zero fuss. Off road light mud is no problem but as it gets thicker the lack of nobbels begins to tell with the tyre sliding. Also climbing out of ruts, is slightly compromised due to the smooth nature of the tyre. I am however now planning to take change these tyres off the bike as I have had five or six punctures since I have had these tyres on the bike so clearly not ideal for the urban trails that I cycle on with a mix of broken bottles and hawthorn hedge trimmings.

From a brand you can trust.

I'm in no way an expert in Cyclocross things including tyres any bigger than 25mm but when it came to dipping my toe into CX I wanted a road going tyre to get used to the bike. Continental is my go to brand for the last 3 years so this tyre was the obvious choice. My gut instinct and bit of research didn't disappoint. I've done 100 miles on these in 3 rides. Ride 1 was patchy ice, ride 2 was wet and ride 3 was wet, windy and hilly. I had 100% confidence throughout. On the first ride I was slow into the wet corners but this morning I was bombing down decents and taking the corners in my stride. Almost inaudible rumble from the tread which is a big plus. Took a farm lane with loose gravel and potholes and at 40 psi it was a rather comfy experience with no issues. I'm highly recommending these to anyone looking for a cheap, well built and reliable tyre. As for anything more than gravel I really don't know but it's worth a go, if not I'll just get a set with more nobbles.

    Good All Round Tyre

I hadn't written the review before as I wanted to test what they were like the punctures. 6 Months down the line and no punctures (14 mile commute each way) This tyres are very light and fast on the road and give you sufficient grip offroad to have confidence in not losing the front. Great Comuter Tyre!!

    Good on and off road

Use these mainly on road, but some longer rides off road in the dry and they cope well.

    Good allrounder

I have the folding version of this tyre which costs around another £10 each.Theyre a great allrounder and quite happy on asphalt as they are offroad but I had two punctures on my first road ride.

Good on and off road tyres for hybrids

I wanted some tyres that would work equally well off-road as they do on and these seemed to fit the bill. I've not fitted them yet but they look like they'll give both the grip I need on tow paths etc yet not have too much rolling resistance on the road. Could be good for winter road grip. Not sure how puncture proof they'll be though as there doesn't seem to be a protective layer.
