Solid, stable stand and not expensive

This is a great stand. I can see that a previous review said that it interfered with a gear cable, but on a specialised myka it's perfect even with the myka's tight geometry. Unlike a single sided stand thee pedals do not crash into it if you roll the bike backwards. It's so good that I'm buying one for my recumbent.

    good while it lasted

The advantage of this stand is that it is extremely stable - the bike would not fall over even with a substantial asymmetric load (one heavy pannier, and nothing on the other side). However, there were also two problems. One fault was that it obstructed the gear cable, requiring sawing a groove into the metal for the gear cable. The other problem was that (after I think about 3 years) over a period of weeks it started needing more and more force to shift it between the two positions, until it eventually just seized up completely, and could not readily be freed up either with lubricant or any obvious fix to the mechanism. At that point it needed to be replaced.
