2nd Pair - as good as anything out there...

This is the second time I have bought a pair of these overshoes. Although I had never had zip trouble with previous overshoes, the attraction with these was the zipless, super-stretchy design. As a year-round cycle commuter my first pair saw daily use for roughly 4 months of the year and were pretty thrashed after a year and a half. This was mainly damage to the sole due to the design of my (recessed cleats) cycling shoes meaning all walking was done on the fabric of the overshoes rather than on the soles of my shoes. Also on my first pair, the soft rubberised ankle cuff disintegrated pretty quickly (purely a cosmetic issue - did not affect the performance of the shoes). To the shoes themselves... The neoprene is pretty thick and does a good job of keeping my feet warm in the cold winter months, and pretty dry in moderate rain (nothing's going to keep you dry when it's absolutely lashing down - especially when the water's running down your legs and getting in via the ankle opening). After almost 3 months (daily) use of my second pair I get the impression that the ankle cuff material may have been made more durable - it shows no sign of damage (perhaps I have just learned to be more careful taking them on and off...). Sizing is OK - the M (40-42) fit my size 42 shoes OK. BEWARE - if you are not used to a zipless design they will feel VERY TIGHT to put on or take off for the first 2 or 3 uses, but after that they are fine.

Great product. Just as described. I got an email through to say that it was going to be a couple days late which I I weren't too bothered but when I received the over shoes they had chucked in a free set of lights which you had to spend 50pounds or more and also got some complimentary sweets.thanks fot great product and service.
