The Giant Talon 0 came about as a direct response to UK riders asking for a mountain bike that suited the kind of riding and trails that predominates on these shores. We wanted a hardtail that was designed for fun, technical riding at UK trail centres, not purely designed for racers. The 2010 Talon is the result, confidense inspiring handling thats not afraid of rock drops, fast corners and the occasional air-time. Giant said it was designed for UK riding and riding styles and for once, it wasn’t marketing hype.

What is a Hard Tail Mountain Bike?
Thick, knobbly tyres and lots of gears are the overriding features of these machines. Strong frames are built to take the rough with the smooth and can often be accompanied by a front suspension fork for added comfort and control. Theyre designed mainly for off road use but these solid, comfortable bikes often meet more general needs. For further information on mountain bikes see our Mountain Bike Buying Guide.
