Racing DNA, great fit and value

If you’re getting into cross-country in a big way and looking for the right MTB shoe to push you to the next level then this is for you. It has the same fit as our pro racing shoes, but with a slightly simpler construction.

Mavic’s racing DNA is present in the Energy Grip Terra outsole, which gives you great power transfer to the pedals. But an Ortholite® inner sole and comfort straps make this a more forgiving and flexible shoe.

It also works well when you need to jump off the bike or stick a foot down at the last minute – with a Contragrip® outsole, reinforced toe and rugged studs. If you’re just getting started, start here.

Excellent customer service as has to return for larger size. Size 9 was very tight went to a 44 / size 9.5, perfect well made and light for price.

    Well made shoe

These are my first pair of shoes so I don't have any experience in being clipped in so I was very nervous about it. I have a road bike and decided to go for spd rather than spd-l as I wanted to be able to walk in the shoes. I originally ordered a touring shoe (Mavic) but they came up very small for a UK8. I sent them back to exchange for a UK9 but they were discontinued. Tredz were once again amazing and agreed to exchange them for these at the same price. The MTB sole is great and makes walking along the gravel paths a breeze. The cleats were tricky to get in the right position but once there they clip in and out of the pedal very easily, so much so that after my first ride in them, I was almost able to do it without looking. Never had and wobbly moments as I set the spring release to easy. As for the shoe, the build quality is second to none and feel very secure on the bike. They do breathe very easily and might be quite cold in winter which is a good sign that they will breathe in summer. Most shoes start at around £50 so £70 is not a bad price for these as they look much nicer than the basic £50 shoes. I would recommend spending the extra £20 to get these but make sure you go up a full size from your normal trainer size.
