A classic thoroughbred the Pashley Roadster Sovereign combines traditional styling with modern components to offer an unrivalled ride experience. With its relaxed frame geometry and swept back bars the Roadster offers a stable upright riding position for comfortable cycling on even the roughest of roads.

Hand-crafted in England the traditional steel frame is combined with modern quality components and offers an efficient and reliable ride. The Shimano Nexus 8 speed hub gears offer reliable, low maintenance gear shifting over a wide range of gears to get you up and over the hills. Hub brakes offer reliable stopping power in all weather conditions.

The Brooks B33 leather sprung saddle is ideal for a bike of this calibre and adds comfort. Full length mudguards and chaincase will keep you clean while a rear rack will carry your luggage. A full light set is fitted ready for night riding and the front light is dynamo powered so you don’t need to change the batteries. Frame mounted pump, lock and swing down stand add practicality to this well thought out hybrid bike.

Also known as the ‘King of the Road’ the Pashley Roadster Sovereign is a classic hybrid bike that will give you many years of faithful service.

    Lovely Bicycle

I love this bike, but I can't begin to justify that statement rationally! It's ridiculously heavy, less aerodynamic that a brick and twice as energy sapping as my 'best' road bike (a Ti framed, Shimano Ultegra equipped 'racer'). But it's just fantastic fun to ride! The relatively wide gear range (with the Shimano Nexus 8 hub), the built in lock, the rack and the mudguards add some practicality, but there are lighter, better equipped Dutch style bikes available. I reckon the bottom line is that if you're hankering after this bike you'll love it for its looks, its upright position and its general presence. If you're tall enough to get the double top-tube version even better! Budget a few quid to change the horrible hard plastic grips (that look and feel as if they came off the child's Tricycle you had in 1970) to something better. Also consider how much you need to use the front light - it looks pretty but is next to useless as a light to see by (as opposed to be seen). Overall this is a bike to enjoy. Buy it with that as your main priority and I doubt you'll regret it! Great service from Tredz as well. I tried to buy this bike from 2 national chains who have branches local to me and neither were willing to help (despite being Pashley stockists) as this is a new model. Tredz kept me informed and delivered as promised.
