Hard-wearing and great looking, Tweedster fabric has a textured outer face for style but takes a beating and shrugs off water thanks to the DWR treatment and waterproof membrane. Certainly the burliest short in the Race Face collection, the Ambush Short is recommended for agressive riding when extra abrasion resistance and durability is preferred. 3D mesh paneling enhances air flow. Raised back panel stretches up a little higher to ensure no builder's bum syndrome. Inseam is 38cm (15"), under knee, with hem openings large enough to accommodate Race Face pads.

    great tough shorts

I was looking for something tougher and more weatherproof than my other shorts. Taken for a few muddy rides and they shrug off the worst of the muck, cold and wet. Time and few washes will give me a better idea of how well they fair in the long term. They are comfortable and look great. Downside if any: no zip-able pocket
