I can vouch for the brightness and quality of these lights weve been out cycling on gloomy evenings and the bike in front had these rear lights on. They were brighter than anyone elses lights really visible even at distance and closer up strong enough to cast a red light on us behind! Very competitively priced was expecting a price about double the actual cost. This light will give the security of knowing that you are visible from a distance with a good range of settings to distinguish you as a cyclist.

I have three of these lights. I bought the first one last winter and was so impressed with it that Ive got two more of them. Theyre easy to fit to seat tubes and are astonishingly bright way better than the dynamo lights Ive just scrapped. Ive got through four of the same manufacturers 3 LED rear lights in about 4 years. Theyve all failed usually due to the electronic circuitry. These Lunar R2s are a better product and as far as Im concerned worth the extra money.

Very Pleased

I've owned one of these for a couple of months now. I angled it so it points directly to following drivers. I instantly noticed that they gave me a wide berth.Easy to fit. Has about 4 different on options which you have to go through to get to the off position. Build quality seems okay but a little loose in the older. But at value for money I am very pleased.

This was a good choice especially when on sale at £14. Very bright. The 5 different modes are a bit unnecessary I think you only really need constant or flashing. Easy to fit. Easy to clip on and off when leaving the bike locked up.

I now have two of these on the rear stays of my road bike. These are the brightest rear lights I have seen. Must have buy for those dark morning/evening commutes. They are that bright I even use them on my weekend rides in the daylight just in case. You won't be disappointed.

Daylight visibility

After a clubmate was mowed down from behind and killed I decided I would use a rear light on daytime rides. The problem was to find one that was bright enough to attract attention in daylight.I found that there were a few on the market but all were much more expensive than the Smart Lunar R2. When this arrived I was seriously impressed at its brightness.Close up its blinding! So Ive now fitted these to all my bikes. Better safe than sorry

Blindingly bright rear light that gives me confidence in being seen on the very dark roads. The question car drivers will be asking is "whats that ahead". Random flashing mode setting is best.

Look across the market I dont think there is another light which compares in this price bracket.Weatherproof brightest in class and for less than £15. The only improvement I can see would be if Smart packaged this in a frontrear combo rather than the 12 watt rear which seems to be in all their sets.

I bought this light from the store in Cardiff. They get raving reviews on BikeRadar from a LOT of people. I'm still on the supplied batteries after using 4 weeks. I am considering another one to wear on my rucksack in flashing mode to draw extra attention. Excellent price too. Thank you Tredz!

This is a really bright light with all the standard modes you would expect. I use it on my commute and also in poor weather which leaves me knowing im more visable to other road users. The bolt holding the bracket together came loose once one a long ride and it bounced along the road but didnt cause any damage which was a welcome surprise.Ive now tightened it up tighter and dont think this will happen again.Overall im really pleased and if I ever needed to would happily buy the same light again.

Great commuter light
Name:
Date:

Have this on my commuter with the rack bracket attachment. Using rechargeable batteries it lasts a good 8 hours in a flashing mode enough for 4 days for me. With 2 half watt LEDs it is pretty effective and as with most Smart lights the bracket is very secure. The only gripe I have is that it can sometimes change mode by itself during my commute maybe from the jolts of Londons potholed streets. Other than that it is highly recommended!

Excellent light brightest I generally see
Name:

I have owned this light since Feb 2013 having had a variety of Smart rear lights. The last one I used before this is the 12 Watt kidney light that was still very bright. This one blows it out the water though and really is twice as bright. Definitely helps get a lot more room from passing cars. Batteries last ages on flashing mode and it is secure in the mount. There is now a USB version out which may supercede this one as its quite a bit lighter. Highly recommended though.

Big Performance From A Little Light

I rarely trust reviews but I was impressed with what I had read in several locations about the Lunar R2. What I didn't expect was how much this light is undersold I practically blinded myself in an already well lit room when I put the batteries in. Small and exceptionally powerful and on sale at £13.99 this is simply the bargain of the year I've seen lights as half as good for almost 3 times the price. Really don't bother looking anywhere else if you're in the market for a rear light.

Amazingly Bright! But eats the battery...
Name:
Date:

For being seen this light on its own would be enough. Unfortunately as a result it eats the batteries quite quickly. Smart say 50 hours before the battery is completely dead but lets be honest I usually change light batteries after they reduce to half brightness. I don't see the point taking any risks. At least my TV remote has a stock pile of batteries now...
