Specialized Tarmac Comp UDi2
The 2016 Tarmac Comp UDi2 is an efficient and superb upgrade for any roadie looking to take their riding to the next level. A refined composite frame matched to a top flight Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset will help you dominate the competition.
Carbon frame & Fork
When you buy a Tarmac you’re getting one of the most advanced and refined carbon composite road race frames on the market. The FACT 9r frame is very strong and stiff, whilst being lightweight for all round handling and acceleration benefits you need to win.
Carbon composite material absorbs road vibrations far better than an aluminium frame giving you a more comfortable ride.
Oversized top and down tubes wrap around the headtube eliminating any potential weak spots in the frame. This combined with a tapered headtube improves your steering response due to a stiffer frame and fork junction.
The FACT full carbon fork provides incredible front end stiffness and scalpel like steering precision.
Oversized bottom bracket and chainstays are molded together as one unit that is super stiff and can resist deflection under load. Acceleration improves as more of your power is being transferred directly to the drivetrain.
Rider-First Engineered
Each of the many frames sizes are specifically engineered for the needs of the individual rider. No matter your size you’ll get the same ride experience as all the other Tarmac riders. Smaller cyclists benefit from a lighter, more balanced bike with improved handling in the corners. Larger riders benefit from a marked increase in steering response.
Testing and development of Rider-First engineering is carried out in partnership with McLaren F1.
Electronic shifting
Equipped is the superb Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset with all the benefits that electronic shifting brings. Shifting is quicker and more precise. You get customizable shift options and additional shift buttons can be positioned where you want them. This is pro level component technology.
Shimano 105 brakes are solid and Fulcrum S5 wheels roll well and will last for miles and miles.
