The Topeak Defender FX/RX is a great mudguard for lightweight off-roading. The rear fender has been specifically designed so it can adjust giving you greater splatter protection. The first thing you notice about the Defender FX/RX is the wide profile of the guards. This gives you added coverage to prevent dirt and spray flicking up onto you or your bike.

The Topeak Defender has a cool motocross style finish. However, its not all about looks - the mudguard is double injection-molded nylon for durability. A polished underside also helps to prevent dirt buildup and make cleaning easier.

At just 180g for the front, and 200g for the rear, this mudguard set is feather light.

    Key Features

    • Suitable for 26" wheeled mountain bikes
    • Wide profile for maximum coverage
    • Rear is fully adjustable in height and angle
    • Cool motocross profile looks good on both hard-tail and full suspension bikes
    • Durable injection-moulded nylon construction
    • Quick release for both front and rear
    • Lightweight: 180g Front, 200g Rear

Please Note: Suitable for 26" wheels and forks with a 1.1/8" steerer tube. Not suitable for aggressive off-road riding

    Fiddly

Not a bad set for the price but amazing that they can charge £18 for a few pretty flimsy and fiddly to fit bits of plastic.

Front unit good avoid rear unit

Front guard works fine on and off road keeps spray and muck away. Back guard is poor for off-road strap keeps undoing itself and the guard falls off.

    Topeak Defender Weak Spot

I bought a set of these and on my recommendation my daughter bought a set too. Both our front mudguards broke within the first twelve months. The front part of the mudguard snapped off on both our mudguards. The plastic is quite thin therefore weak where the front part of the mudguard fastens onto the metal bracket. Once is unlucky twice isnt. I like Topeak products but not these mudguards.
