I don't know what size I need to buy - how do I find a bike that's the right size for me?

Whether you're buying for yourself or someone else, whether you're buying a mountain bike, a kids bike or a helmet, you can find most sizing information in our bicycle and cycle clothing sizing guides.

I'm can't find certain bike models, what happened to favourites such as the women's Hardrock or Rockhopper bikes, or the Giant OCR?

How do I place an order?

There are several ways you can purchase from Tredz:

- Online: once you have found the product(s) you would like to purchase, add the product(s) to your basket and follow the easy one-page checkout. You will then see a page where you can edit or amend any incorrect details before you submit your order.

- By post. You can write your order enclosing a cheque or postal order (we wouldn't recommend posting credit card details) and post to:

Please be aware that it can take 3-4 weeks from sending a cheque before you receive your order.

How much will postage and packaging cost?

  • P&P to mainland UK is FREE regardless of product size and value. Orders will usually take between 2 and 7 working days to arrive.
    (Please note: regrettably, some Scottish postcodes are excluded. These are: KW1-14, PA34, PA37-39, PH19-26, 30-40, 49-50 and PH41 sector 4. Delivery to these postcodes costs £40 regardless of order value. Smaller items may qualify for free shipping regardless of delivery region. Please contact us with your order information.)
  • Guaranteed next working day delivery is £10.00. (For orders placed on a weekday before 12noon, delivery to UK Mainland.)
  • Next working day morning delivery is £17.50 (regardless of size and value, orders need to be placed on a weekday before 12noon, for delivery to a UK Mainland address.).
  • Saturday delivery is £20.00 for orders placed up to Friday 12noon, to a UK Mainland address. (Please don't rely on this for important events, e.g. a birthday present. Couriers only work with skeleton staff on Saturdays and we'd hate someone's special day to be spoiled, please arrange for delivery a couple of days beforehand. )
  • Exceptions to free delivery and timed delivery are: Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man: all £37.50; Isle of Wight £15.00. Deliveries will take approximately 7 working days from order.
    Please note: Smaller items may qualify for free shipping regardless of delivery region. Please contact us with your order information.

How do I know it's safe to order from Tredz?

The ordering and payment process at Tredz is highly secure. We use Thawte and PROTX to ensure your data is encrypted and kept on secure servers. We do not see your credit card details when you place an Internet order.

What guarantees will my product(s) have?

The same as if you bought it on the high street. It could even be argued that you’ve got more on your side thanks to the distance selling regulations. For example, you have the right to cancel your order within 7 days, starting from the day after you receive the goods. All our goods are sourced from reputable UK distributors so manufacturer warranties are honoured all the way up the line.

How do I return an unwanted item?

Tredz want customers to be satisfied every time they shop. However, if you are unhappy for any reason with your purchase, simply return your product(s) to us in their original condition within 30 days of receipt. We shall issue a full refund less any postage paid (for express delivery etc.) and any refund charges imposed by your credit card company. You will be responsible for the returned product(s) until they reach us. Therefore, we recommend you send your parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.

How do I return an item under the WEEE regulations?

If you have bought a new electric or electronic product that qualifies under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations you can return the old product to Tredz free of charge. Further details can be found here.

How can I cancel an order?

Cancellations can only be accepted by e-mailing sales@tredz.co.uk. If the order has been completed and is en route, then a return will need to be arranged. This will be easier by telephone; please include a daytime telephone number with your e-mail. Your account will be credited once the product(s) arrive back at Tredz.

My product has arrived faulty. What do I do?

We try our best to ensure items arrive in good condition. However, if a product has arrived with a fault of some kind please email us with details at info@tredz.co.uk. We can then discuss the best course of action for you and the particular item. This is likely to entail a replacement item being sent to you promptly.

How soon will I receive my product(s) from placing my order request?

We endeavour to dispatch goods within 24 hours of receipt of your request. However, if a delay occurs due to a stock issue, we will contact you to inform you of this.

When will my purchase be charged to my card?

We will charge your card the day your purchase(s) is dispatched. If four items from a five item order are being dispatched, then only those four items will be charged. A separate charge takes place when the final item is then dispatched. Remember, there are no postage costs to you regardless of order size or split.

Why use Tredz, not your competitors?

We feel we’ve gathered a great product range from the top brands in cycling and we try to improve on that every day and if you have any questions, our experienced staff is more than happy to advise you to make sure you buy a product that is right for you.

How will my bike purchase arrive?

In a large tailor-made box with internal protection.

Will I need to build my bike at all?

Unlike some competitors, Tredz sends out all bikes 'ready to ride'. All you need to do is turn the handle bars and screw in the pedals. A short video showing you how this works can be seen on the TredzBlog.

Kids bikes (16w and under) come unassembled but are very quick and simple to put together.

Will my bike have been serviced?

Yes – and then some. Bikes only leave us when an experienced qualified mechanic has completed a full pre-delivery inspection (PDI). That work is then checked and signed off by our quality control technician. Only then is it fit for re-boxing and dispatch.
