Here at Tredz we take data security very seriously. That's why we prefer not to handle any credit card details ourselves but instead use the payment service provider PROTX for online credit card handling as they provide the high level of security that we believe you require.

Once you have added your products in the basket and click 'Go to Checkout', you are taken to a page on the secure server where your details are encrypted by Thawte before being sent to the PROTX secure payment server. You can see this by the "https:" in the address bar and the padlock at the top or bottom of the page, depending on which browser you use. Clicking the padlock will show the details of our security certificate.
The Thawte certificate tells you that an independent third party has agreed that the server belongs to the company it claims to belong to. A valid certificate means that you can have confidence that you are sending information to the right place with high security.
Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode
If you pay by Visa or Mastercard, you are taken to the "Verified by Visa" or "MasterCard SecureCode" page, after confirming your order.
Visa and Mastercard now offer greater security when buying online with Verified by Visa and Mastercard Secure Code.
If you haven't done so already, you will be able to register your card (if supported for this service) with a password. Any future purchases online will then require this password. This gives you an additional layer of security because if someone obtains your card details they will not be able to make purchases with it as they will not have access to your password.
If you are unable to remember your password, you can reset it here, or skip this part. If this page is skipped, we will be alerted to this when we receive the order and we will contact you to ensure it was you who placed the order.
Very occasionally customers have problems with this page, for this reason we have a placed a link at the top of this page: “Use a different payment method” taking you back to the payment page where you can use a different card to make your payment.
Processing your payment
When we're ready to despatch your order, your payment is processed on the Protx secure servers, which handle millions of transactions per day for some of the largest and most highly respected on-line shops in the world.
Using this system neither Tredz, nor any other third party, will ever actually see your credit card details. All that we receive is your order and address details, and confirmation from Protx that the transaction has been processed and funds are cleared.
We perform our own security checks on the transaction as part of our dedication to a completely safe shopping experience. Once these security checks are completed your order is processed and despatched to you.
