Dave Bowkett's Relentless 24 2016 Bike Setup

We asked our Team Tredz rider Dave Bowkett what setup he'll be using at the Relentless 24 race on 29th October. Good luck Dave, we're cheering you on.

Rollers

My rollers don't need much room, nor does the turbo. Laptop and Netflix is essential though.

Bike Lights

High-powered lights are essential for the Relentless race. These lights are also pretty necessary for winter riding

Bottles & Cages

Two bottle cages, in a full suss frame! Definitely wanted on this race.

Rotor Rings

Rotor rings have long been a staple upgrade for me and really work! Dropped down to a 32T for this long distance. Carbon cranks and Shimano pedals give great, comfy power transfer.

XT Groupset

This is my Xt groupset with a 11-40 cassette, sitting on Roval Carbon 29er wheels. Schwalbe Rocket Ron's are a great all round choice for what's likely to be a wet muddy course.

Rockshox Sid Fork

Rockshox Sid fork with Brain technology automatically locks out the fork when needed. You'll also spot the RRP Enduroguard fitted too.

Fizik Ardea Saddle

The Fizik Ardea vs saddle is a firm but comfy favourite while the Swat kit holds vital rescue items in a self sufficient race scenario.

Enve Carbon Bars

Enve carbon bars with ESI foam grips for the cockpit. My Garmin 520 provides time, HR and lap counting. Exposure's lights are not only super bright but Reflex Technology automatically boosts the lumen output on bumpy terrain and saves battery on smoother sections - easy life!
