Junior Marketing Assistant

Salary: Circa £16k

We're looking for a Junior Marketing Assistant to join our growing Web/Marketing department.

If you share our enthusiasm for all things digital and can help us achieve our online marketing plans, we'd love to hear from you.

The job involves:

  • Assisting with the creation and production of PPC campaigns
  • Helping to produce email marketing campaigns
  • Identifying and implementing innovative new methods of capturing data, communicating with and retaining customers
  • Seeking out and exploring new opportunities to build brand awareness and acquire customers
  • Contributing to ongoing website development, enhancement and maintenance
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure the various elements are in place to support successful promotional activity e.g. pricing, stock etc

The right person will be:

  • Tech-savvy and a lover of all things web!
  • Analytically minded
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn with excellent communication skills
  • Experienced in planning a workload to ensure that results are delivered within an agreed timescale

Your skills/experience:

  • Good knowledge of ethical link building techniques
  • SEO experience with proven positive results
  • Knowledge of online marketing and the tools and techniques required
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel)
  • Experience extracting, analysing and segmenting data
  • A working knowledge of standard front-end web development languages and techniques (HTML, CSS)
  • A keen eye for detail
  • A passion for social media.

Online Customer Service Representative

We're on the look out for a new Customer Service Representative. We pride ourselves on providing a fantastic buying experience and the highest levels of service to our customers.

You will become part of our dedicated customer service team where your responsibilities will include order processing, phone calls and, sometimes, helping people decide which bike to go for. Previous bike knowledge is definitely advantageous.

The job...

  • You'll be helping customers orders process smoothly and dealing with any issues as they arise
  • You'll be using custom order management systems and Microsoft software to process orders
  • You'll be receiving phone calls on a daily basis about anything and everything to do with cycling. It'll help if you know your way around - but you'll be surrounded by experts should you need help!

Bike Mechanic

We're on the look out for a new Bike Mechanic

You will be part of a very busy workshop with very high standards. You will cover all aspects of bike building, and servicing, from simple gear adjustments to full strip and re – builds.

The job...

  • 16 hours minimum per week, with competitive pay.
  • On the job training.
  • We don't care what people ride, so long as they do. Having the ability to offer non-judgemental advice is crucial.
  • We aim high - our workshop looks great and, thanks to our trained mechanics, they stay that way.
  • The job is very varied and you'll need to be ready to pitch in. One minute you'll be advising a customer, the next you may be test riding bikes.
  • Positions available in our Cardiff and Swansea Store

The person...

  • You have a genuine passion for cycling

  • Self-motivated mechanic, who has knowledge of road and mountain cycling.
  • You should have previous experience working in a bike shop and preferably will be Cytec Level 1-2 qualified, but for the right person this is not essential.

Part Time & Full Time Customer Services (Swansea store)

Salary: £Negotiable

We're recruiting for friendly, confident and consultative in-store Customer Service Representatives to join our team at Tredz in Swansea.

We're looking to hire quickly so please don't hesitate to apply if you're interested.

Working front of house, you’ll be the face of Tredz, providing excellent customer service and creating sales. Previous knowledge of cycling and bikes is advantageous but not necessary as full training will be given.

The job involves:

  • No day is ever the same in Tredz but as a Sales Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, advising them on potential purchases.
  • Taking bookings for bike maintenance and repairs for our on site workshop face to face and by telephone.
  • Actively promoting Tredz products and services to our customers and contributing ideas to increase sales of bikes and cycle accessories.
  • Ensuring that the shop floor is well presented and that all goods are priced and labelled correctly.

You are:

  • An excellent communicator both face to face and on the telephone.
  • Flexible and able to work well individually and as part of a team.
  • Happy using a computerised till system.

You'll need:

  • A genuine passion for cycling.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • To be able to advise customers about the right products to buy, spotting opportunities for upselling.
  • To like no two days ever being the same!
  • Previous experience working in a bike shop would be great, but for the right person it isn't essential.
