Great Deterrent

Easy to fit and I'm hoping by using with a sturdy chain will deter anyone from having a go!

Over Engineered

The lock is overly complicated. You will need various different dill bits to fit (even my widest SDS drill bit was too small). Far too fusy and complicated for the purpose- there are far easier to fit, cheaper and more secure wall anchors n the market.

Looks the business

Easy to fit, looks sturdy/tough enough (I hope I never have to change the performance score). Plus it looks neat on the wall too.

Bike Locks Guide

What is a bike lock?

A bike lock is a security device for your bike which will deter thieves and keep your bike in your possession and not theirs. Bike locks are vital not just on the move but also at home to give you peace of mind.

Who needs a bike lock?

If you ever leave your bike unattended while you’re on a ride, a lock can mean that your bike is still there when you return from that quick shop stop or comfort break. If you have insured your bike, there are often requirements on the type of lock you’ll need in order to make a claim, so it’s worth checking this information.

What are the choices?

There are all kinds of locks to choose from. Sturdy D-locks  and chunky chain locks may be heavy but they are harder to cut through. Lighter weight cable locks are great for securing components with quick release skewers. Ground anchors are concreted or bolted into the ground making them an ideal home-based security measure.

What should I buy with it?

Bike security markings are a great idea, as they could help to identify it if it unfortunately gets stolen. Lock spares are available so you can replace anything from a shackle to a bracket.

Anything else?

We recommend you spent at least 10% of the value of your bike on a lock - with bike crime always on the rise, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
