Product description

The Bianchi Oltre XR1 Ultegra road race bike is built to win with a top-quality carbon frame that is lightning quick and responsive and a performance Shimano Ultegra drivetrain.

At the heart of this road racing bike is Bianchi’s extremely lightweight XR.1 carbon frame. It uses many of the aero features of its bigger brother, the XR.2 (used by World Tour team Lotto-Jumbo). The frame super stiff with an aggressive riding position for performance.

Ride comfort is enhanced thanks to UTSS (ultra thin seat stays). Power transmission is focused through the chain stays, leaving the seat stays as a compliant support structure. UTSS reduces frame weight, improves shock absorption and impact resistance.

Fitted to the Oltre XR1 is a pro level 2x11spd Shimano Ultegra drivetrain, with Ultegra brakes for slick and reliable performance.

Beautiful, fantastic bike, badly prepared

This bike is everything I hoped and expected it to be. Brilliant. Really very good. However, it hadn't been prepared well; the seat post and the seat clamp couldn't be tightened enough to stop them slipping. Disassembly, cleaning and the application of some carbon assembly paste resolved it. However, it would have been better if it had been assembled properly in the first place. There should not be any compromise in integrity or safety.
