Fast and smooth rolling, with disc brakes for confident stopping, the Cannondale Synapse Tiagra is an endurance road bike for Sportives and weekend adventures as well as rapid commuting and fitness training.

The lightweight, SmartFormed C2 alloy frame features Endurance Geometry which offers a comfortable ‘sportive’ riding position. Combined with a carbon bladed fork the ride is especially smooth, thanks to the Save Plus micro suspension system, that features bump-eating flex zones to smooth out the road chatter. Ready for wet weather training, commuting and even a bit of light touring the subtle rack and mudguard mounts add versatility.

With many of the same features as higher-end groupsets, the Shimano Tiagra 10 speed drivetrain is combined with an FSA Omega crank and offers a wide range of gears for taking on varied terrain. Offering consistent all-weather stopping power are the Promax Render R brakes.

Cycle further on the Cannondale Synapse Disc Tiagra.

The £1000 bargain - buy it.

Bought the 2016 model of this from Tredz - identical apart from the paint colour. If you're looking to buy a cyclescheme bike or are jumping back in for fitness or training, I would suggest you look here - a prefect blend of technology, looks, comfort and function. The Tiagra groupset is frankly near perfect and there are reviews online that suggest it's almost all that most of us would ever need. The bike looks far better in the flesh and is both comfortable and functional when pushed hard, as well as being incredibly lightweight. I've given it a 4.5 for build quality. I have lost some paint at the wheel dropouts, which I wasn't impressed with, and the cable for the rear disc brake that comes out of the left seat stay is too close to my left heel for my liking - other than that, the performance and value for money are 5-star all the way. Would I change anything? - yes, I put 28mm Gatorskins on the bike which has transformed its ride and improved its comfort even more. I also fitted spd pedals which I use on my mtb too. My next plan is to add a wider bar as I now find the fitted one just a little too narrow for a big lardy lad like me. Are there better bikes at this price point? - I seriously doubt it. All of the reviews I read pointed to the Synapse and now I see why - it's just an incredibly enjoyable bike to be on. Tredz service was first rate as always, and I remain a returning customer... thanks guys!
