Made for the rigors of the Arenberg Forest, the toughest stretch of cobbles at Paris-Roubaix. The Castelli Arenberg Gel Short Finger Cycling Gloves offer great protection via the gel padding on the AX suede palms, which help with any fatigue. The mesh back and Velcro wrist closure keeps you cool and comfortable.
Tried them out they seem ok and are comfortable if seeming a little flimsy. It will be interesting to see how they stand up to the test of time.

Good grip and comfortable though padding seemed thin at first. Not sure how they'll hold up as top layer of closing strip separating from Velcro base after two rides

Bought for my brother. He is very happy with the quality of these. Gel padding good, and a great fit. Delivery and customer service excellent also. Overall a happy customer.

Good quality gloves. Gel padding fairly thin but it seems to work well at dampening down road vibration. Also give a good grip and work well to wick away sweat.

How to measure yourself for gloves
Use your left hand if you’re left handed, or right if you’re right handed. Keep your hand flat and use a tape measure to find the circumference of your palm at the widest point below your knuckles (excluding your thumb).
Measure from the tip of the middle finger to the base of your hand.
The largest of these measurements is your correct glove size. Go with the larger size if you’re between sizes on the chart.

What are cycling gloves?
Cycling gloves are specially adapted to cosset your hands while riding. Cycling can put a lot of pressure on your palms, so dedicated bike gloves are very important.
Who needs cycling gloves?
Every rider will benefit from gloves. They aren’t just to keep your hands warm – they provide grip, protection and essential padding.
What are the choices?
Long fingered for winter, short fingered or mitts for summer. Off roaders might want long gloves, perhaps with armoured knuckles, all year round. There are gloves with minimal padding and seams, or mitts with gel cushioning to protect your nerves.
What should I buy with it?
More gloves! Most cyclists will need a long fingered pair of gloves in winter and mitts for summer.
About that little bit of terry fabric on the thumb – yes, it really is for wiping your snotty nose on as you ride. Because of this, you really need to be washing your gloves as often as you wash the rest of your kit.
