Product Description

Combining the efficiency of a road bike with the comfort and practicality of a mountain bike the Claud Butler Explorer 100 is a hybrid sports bike for cycling on rough roads, cycle paths and gravel tracks.

The 6061-aluminium frame is lightweight and robust. You get a stable upright riding position for a comfortable ride and the suspension fork up front will take the sting out of rough roads and tracks.  The 700c road bike wheels are shod with wide 38c tyres that offer grip on loose surfaces as well as a little extra cushioning on rough roads.

The Shimano 3x7 speed drivetrain offers a good spread of gears for taking on the ups with the downs and the Alloy V-brakes give you confident stopping power.

Good cycle

I got this cycle in July 17 and I have found it to be a very comfortable ride. I have no problems with the gears, brakes, steering or wheels. My bike is built very well. I had a Claude Butler when I was 13 and that was 50 years ago and my new one is just as good. My wife also has a Claude Butler ladies bike and she loves it.

Pile of junk/Claud Butler 100 Explorer.

I have had this bike for 3 days and all I can say is what a piece of junk this Claud Butler 100 Explorer 2017 is. The components on this bike have got to be the cheapest, tackiest of parts that have come out of China/Cambodia. The only positive thing about this bike is the frame, all the other junk bolted to the frame is cheap tat, everythink from the hubs, gears, saddle( which should be on a childs bike) front suspension forks, v brakes are cheap rubbish!!!.I know you only get what you pay for,but iff this bike had a Probike sticker on the frame instead of Claud Butler it would retail for about £100. I owned a Claud Butler bike about ten years ago, and paid about the same price, and it was 10 times better than this pile of junk. Claud Butler would be turning in his grave, selling cheap crap on the strength of his name. I am not sure whether to throw this Claud Butler in the skip, give it to charity, or sell it. It is awful to ride, uncomfortable, the gears are rubbish, and the rear hub sounds like there is playing cards in the spokes. You have been warned do not even consider buying this make or model of bike. !!!!!!
