Cube Acid 2017, 27.5" - feels like a great XC ride.

The frame feels bomb proof and the Shimano kit has a lighter touch on the controls than the SRAM I've ridden previously. The geometry feels just right for me too - I'm a fraction over 5' 8" and the bike's an 18" frame. There's no feeling of stretch towards the handlebars, meaning I can do the day long, moderate off-road rides I like without getting neck or shoulder aches. The gearing too seems well matched with cross country riding - you won't be able to push the big ring and fly along the tarmac but the gearing available seems just right for climbing and getting a moderate to good lick on along bridleways and green lanes. This is my third XC hardtail, the first from Cube and, to date, far and away the best I've ridden yet.
