Product description

The SUV Hybrid Pro combines progressive design with simple, straightforward urban mobility. It's our answer for anyone looking for an active but environmentally-friendly urban lifestyle. With a multifunctional frame and high quality features, it's the perfect modern solution for stress-free transport in the city: no more timetables, traffic jams or looking for parking spaces.

Frame: The double butted aluminium Superlite frame has been optimised for use in the urban jungle in every way - light, stiff and technically advanced in spite of its discreet appearance. And, of course, it also offers the light and nimble ride experience that characterises all CUBEs - a product of its complex construction with an optimal rigidity-to-weight ratio, carefully considered motor and battery mounting positions (ODP) and CUBE's much-admired Agile Ride Geometry (ARG). The 3D forged dropouts with integrated IS-mount for the rear brake contribute to the clean looks, and luggage rack attachment points add everyday practicality to the mix.

Features: The urban jungle can be unforgiving. That's why we've equipped the SUV with a comfortable Suntour XCR32 coil suspension fork and Schwalbe's voluminous Super Moto-X Kevlar tyres - so that cobbles, potholes and tram tracks are no problem. On the power front, the Bosch drive system is extremely reliable, and comes with the most powerful 500Wh power pack currently available. Shimano's Alfine 8 speed hub adds longevity and hassle-free, reliable shifting, while the hydraulic BR-M315 disc brakes provide outstanding brake performance in all weathers.

Solid, fun but...

After some 18 months of research I purchased this as my first Ebike. It looks amazing and rides brilliantly, everywhere I go people take great interest in it. Battery is mega, 35km 6 times a week and all it needs is two charges. One on Sunday and again on Wednesday, brakes are incredible and Shimano hub gears are also very good so is front suspension, powerful motor gets up to speed very rapidly. Issues.... For over 2k electric assistance cuts off way to quickly, it's unbelievable frustrating, EU laws are at fault here, this motor and battery have so much spare capacity, it's a terrible shame it can't be fully used. There are many ways of tuning the bike and as many ways of loosing a warranty, so Im never going to derestrict my bike. Value and the amount of attention the bike is getting makes leaving it locked ( two high end locks £200 ) outside on the street, even for a short while extremely stressful and bike Def needs to be insured ( £200pa ). It's not faster than regular bike, what it dose, it makes me less hot and bothered once I reach my destinations. So, it's an astonishing peace of German engineering thats very expensive, let down by the current law and because of that NOT worth the money. I can't recommend it, it was a silly purchase and I should have settled for a cheaper alternative from Halfords where £900 gets me ebike that I can trash and use without stress. Tredz on the other hand are epic in all departments !
