Really nice quality holder
by Anonymous user on 19/08/2020

Bought these for a new build and they match bike and just look ace. Had elite holders before and there great at keeping the bottle in place whilst being stylish. Well recommended

I lost my bottle - not suitable for MTB's
by Anonymous user on 01/09/2019

looks nicely made and seamed like it holds the bottle tight enough but, I've been out for a ride today and lost my bottle. I got to the top of quite a hard climb in the middle of nowhere and stopped for a drink to find my bottle missing, I had to turn back and go looking for it, I found it half way up the other side of the valley I had just crossed. not only did this cage add an extra 4-5 miles onto a 30+ mile ride but it added 2 extra hard climbs as well as making me paranoid of losing it again for the rest of the day. it would probably be fine on a road bike but not on an MTB.

Bottles & Cages Guide

What are bike bottles and cages?

A bottle and cage set-up is a really efficient way of staying hydrated while you’re riding. Simply reach out and your beverage is close at hand. It’s so important to drink plenty of fluid while you’re riding to prevent dehydration, so anything that makes it easier to do that is a must-have.

Who needs a bottle and cage?

Riders who need instant refreshment use bottles and cages. Whether the bottle contains water or an energy drink, it’s close at hand and easily supped from a specifically designed mouthpiece. Remember, even if you’re pootling along at a sedate pace, you’re still exercising, which is always thirsty work.

What are the choices?

Choose the bottle which you’ll find easiest to drink out of and the most simple to use with an accompanying cage. The cage selection ranges from feather light carbon holders to sturdy steel receptacles. Side-loading cages are great for compact frames where space is at a premium. BPA-free construction means you won’t ingest any nasty chemicals.

What should I buy with them?

A bottle brush is brilliant for cleaning, especially with smaller bristles to clean the mouthpiece. If your bike doesn’t have eyelets for a cage, there are adaptors available.

Anything else?

Make sure you regularly clean your bottle – it’s very easy to leave it festering on your bike. A few ice cubes in summer gives you a refreshingly chilled drink.
