Best handlebar out there!

I've spent the last 6 months or so trying different handlebars from different manufacturers. I know its a subjective thing, but the shape of the SL-K (and the identically shaped aluminium Energy) is the most comfortable there is. OK, there are lots of handlebars with a similar drop and reach (125 and 80mm), but what sets these apart from most others is that they have almost no ramp angle (this means when looking side-on, the top of the bar is parallel to the end of the bottom drop bar). This makes all the difference to the comfort because you can align the bottom drop parallel to the ground and your hands feel firmly planted when on the drops. There's no sensation of your hands sliding back or down the bar. Build quality is excellent. And here's a little known secret: the bars are a lot lighter than advertised. The 42cm comes in at 183g and 44cm at 193g. They are nearly as light as FSA's top of the range Extra-Light. Another thing to be aware of: FSA measure the width from the end of the drops, but because there is a 2deg flare, the with hood-to-hood is 2cm less. Buy the next size up for your desired width.
