Whether that’s making a simple height adjustment or building a bike from scratch, kitting yourself out with your own mini workshop will give you hours of pleasure which will either annoy or delight your significant other(s).

Who needs a home and workshop tools?

Even novice cyclists will benefit from learning a few simple techniques. However, the more cycling you do, the more likely you are to want to learn how everything works and carry out minor repairs yourself.

What are the choices?

There are home and workshop tools available for all levels of rider, from a full tool kit to a simple torque wrench.

What should I buy with it?

Bike stands hold your steed in place to keep it steady and an apron and a pair of gloves will save your clothing from damage or smudges.

Anything else?

If in doubt, take your bike to your local bike shop for repairs. Better to have an expert fix it than to accidentally cause a fair few pounds worth of damage by having a go yourself.
