Product description

Dominate the race with the Propel Advanced 1. Offering best-in-class aerodynamics with sharp yet stable handling, you’re getting a lot of bike without breaking the bank.

Road racers, triathletes and anybody wanting to feel true road speed will be right at home on the Propel Advanced.

You can buy the 2016 Giant Propel Advanced 1 through a 0% interest Tredz Finance package.

Frame & Fork

Key to the race winning performance of the Propel is Giant’s Advanced Grade composite frame. Only the highest grade raw carbon fibres are used, because of their high stiffness to weight ratio. The resin incorporates vibration damping particles to keep you feeling less fatigued as you clock up the miles.

Constructed as a modified monocoque, the single piece front triangle is joined to the rear stays. This eliminates the need for the outermost composite sheet so every unnecessary gram is shaved off the frame, without compromising the ride quality, strength or stiffness.

The Propel Advanced 1 is race ready, right out the box with advanced Aerosystem shaping technology. Each tube is optimised using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) and honed with wind tunnel data. By combining these technologies air turbulence is minimised around the frame for incredible speed.

Down low is Giant’s oversized bottom bracket area (PowerCore) that provides solid stiffness that won’t budge when you’re putting the power down. Upfront front is an OverDrive steerer and Advanced Grade composite fork for ultimate stiffness and knife edge steering. Take corners at speed in confidence.

Components

With the Propel Advanced 1 you’re getting an 11 speed Shimano Ultegra groupset. This is a performance setup, just one level down from the top-end Dura Ace system the pro peloton use. Giant SpeedControl brakes are designed for aero efficiency as well as stopping power. Also Giant’s own P-A2 wheels are quick to speed, durable and come with a deep rim for an aero advantage.

Shaving weight off the frame is a full composite Vector seatpost, aero designed for minimal drag.

A lot for you money

Let me start by saying this is a great bike. A full Carbon Aero bike that comes with Ultergra and for £1600, a total bargain compared with what you get for that money with other manufacturers. This bike is fast too and great looking. A word of warning though I'm 5ft 8 and using the measurement guide it stated I needed a 54cm frame, the same as my other bike but not true. The seat post was way too high so would have been better off with a Small frame.

Speed machine

Upgraded from my entry level alloy orbea. What a difference the comfort is much better with a carbon frame, road buzz and bumps noticeable difference. Top notch gears and frame and ultra quick able to reach 30mph on a flat. Bike looks stunning too 5*.

Awesome bike!

The giant propel is very light and super stiff, almost zero flex. Couldn't think of a better bike especially for the money. To top of the brilliant bike the customer service was very good and the delivery times were excellent.
