Product description

With its proven aero performance and sharp yet stable handling the Giant Propel Advanced 1 is a road bike that is designed to accelerate and sprint faster to the finish line.

The Advanced-Grade carbon frame is constructed using a modified monocoque technique which keeps the weight down - it’s one of the lightest frame in its class - whilst keeping things stiff and strong. The frame is shaped using AeroSystem Technology which reduces drag helping you to slide through the air faster. Built for real world racing the down tube is even shaped to aid airflow around water bottles while the Speed Control brake and cable positions are also aero optimised.

The OverDrive steerer tubes and carbon fork deliver precise steering while the PowerCore bottom bracket area ensures that power transfer is immediate even when you really put the hammer down.

The Shimano Ultegra 2x11 speed drivetrain offers slick, precise shifting and features a semi compact chainset so you can really get up to speed.

The Giant Propel 1 is an aero road machine that really minimises drag.

Awesome Bike

First time on an Aero framed bike ... WOW! The stiffness of the frame means instant power transfer which makes it quick to accelerate/sprint and is also more efficient for climbing, while at the same time the ride comfort is no worse then any other aero/race bike (i.e. firm, but not harsh). I'd reached a plateau on climbing segments on my previous road race bike (similar weight), but with this I've already smashed a number of my PBs by 30+ seconds, and taken a few KOMs. The ultegra groupset is amazing. The shifting is soo light and smooth, and the 52-36 / 11-28 gear combination is perfect for both maximum speed and spinning up the hills. The bike is let down very slightly by the wheelset which is a little on the heavy side (for climbing), but that's being really picky as you'll not notice on the flatter stuff, and they are semi aero. All round a superb bike, and absolutely love riding it. The matt finish needs careful cleaning, check out Red Ant cleaner/protector, it's ace and leaves the matt finish as new.
