The Propel Advanced SL 1 is designed to maximise every watt of energy you put through the pedals. This is the pinnacle of what advanced frame engineering can deliver, killer on the sprints with an exquisite ride quality overall.
Behemoths in the pro peloton Marcel Kittle and John Degenkolb have both riden the Propel to win Tour de France stages, Spring Classics and other prestigious races. Third party wind tunnel test show the Propel is more aero from every yaw angle compared to leading competitors. This translates into savings of 12-36 seconds over a distance of 40km at 40kph against other key aero bikes.
You can buy the class leading Giant Propel Advanced SL 1 through a 0% interest Tredz Finance package.
Key to performance is the Advanced SL-Grade composite frame with aero tubing that’s been designed using both CFD and wind tunnel data. This optimisation gives you massive speed and acceleration when it’s time to attack.
Only Pro grade raw carbon fibres are used for the ultimate stiffness to weight ratio. Pro grade resin with Carbon Nanotube technology (CNT) strengthens the frame with a 14% increase in impact resistance.
Both the top and seat tubes are grafted together using a complex remoulding process called Fusion Process for stronger and lighter frame junctions. Large fibre sheets are chosen which mean fewer pieces are needed to shave extra weight off the frame.
Also reducing weight the integrated Vector seatmast which has been aero designed to minimal air turbulence. Slight deflection in the mast improves your comfort on longer races.
When you put all these advanced features together you get a frame which is up to 100g lighter and significantly stronger than Giant’s Advanced frame.
Equipped is the legendary Shimano Dura-Ace 11 speed groupset. This is simply the best mechanical groupset on the market. Contact SLR carbon composite aero bars and stem (with Ti bolts) shave excess weight of the frame, and help you slip through wind.
Giant’s SLR 0 Aero WheelSystem is perfectly matched to the Propel. The ultralight full carbon composite rim with a 55mm deep profile is 165 grams lighter than the SLR.
The Advanced SL 1 comes with RideSense, a chainstay integrated wireless data transmitter. This removable transmitter sends wheel speed and cadence information directly to any ANT+ compatible computer.
