A.D.S. Adjustable Dropout System; An Identiti innovation feature that allows the rider to horizontally move the rear axle position to set chain tension, which is a real bonus if you are running single speed or perhaps a Rohloff Speedhub.

Not only is this simple and secure using the integral threaded ‘chain tugs’, but as the axle moves, so does the Disc mount and the gear hanger keeping everything in perfect line all of the time.

Furthermore, as the dropouts themselves are almost vertical, there is no risk of wheel torque slippage in the dropout under heavy load, which means you can even use QR skewers on a Single Speed set-up.

Nor do you have to consider removing the Disk brake caliper if you are removing the wheel, as the wheel comes out down and forwards, not backwards. Finally, because removing the wheel doesn’t require any messing with the chain tension adjustment, when you fit the wheel back in it goes back in perfect chain tension just as it was before you removed it.

A.D.S. works ‘perfectly’ with Derailleur or hub gears , or no gears. It’s up to the rider! gears or no gears?

Bonus point for the Identiti ADS is that all of the ‘vulnerable’ parts of the dropout (gear hanger, disc mounts, axle slots, main fixing bolts threads etc..) are all part of the ADS dropouts and therefore, easily replaced in event of a ‘problem’.

Innovative S-24 ADS option. This tweaked version of the ADS plates, effectively moves the rear axle forwards by a huge 35mm giving a 26 inch wheel based frame effectively the same backend as a 24 inch specific frame, so, NOW you can truly experience 24 inch specific handling without the limitation of having to stick with 24 inch wheels forever. No doubt others will follow later as they have with our ADS concept.

Rohloff Speedhub dropouts.Tweaked version of the original ADS dropouts with a reinforced longer Left hand jaw to accept Rohloff OEM axle plates and a neat non-hanger Right hand jaw. This set allows you to fit a Rohloff Speedhub in conjuction with Rohloff OEM axle plates therefore avoiding the need to use Torque arms or Speed bones. Thus creating a VERY neat and economic Speedhub set-up.

Rohloff ADS plates are compatible with all current Identiti ADS frames.

Occasionally, without notice, manufacturers change product design and/or specifications.

Derailleur/Mech Guide

What are derailleurs and mechs?

Derailleurs and mechs are two names for the same thing – the parts of your drive train that move the chain between chainrings for the front derailleur/mech and between the cassette cogs for the rear derailleur/mech.

Who needs a derailleur or mech?

Not all bikes have derailleurs, but if your bike has conventional gearing rather than singlespeed or hub gears, you will have at least a rear derailleur. These parts are exposed and somewhat vulnerable to damage, so you may need to replace them if this happens.

What are the choices?

Your choice will largely depend on what is compatible with the rest of your drivetrain, but there are different options for road and mountain bike, by the big three manufacturers, Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo.

What should I buy with them?

If you’re replacing a front or rear mech, you may need to replace some other parts of your drivetrain as well, for compatibility or because you want them to wear together. These might include the chainrings, rear cassette or chain.

Anything else?

It’s not just compatibility with your other components you need to consider with a mech replacement. Derailleurs also have different fittings for various frame compatibilities, including braze-on fittings and a bolt-on collar.
