Lapierre E-Xelius 600 Womens 2019 - Electric Road Bike
To ride alone or with friends, to rise to new challenges, to discover new sensations and new horizons, without worrying about your age, your physical condition or your level of attainment, our new e-Xelius SL is designed primarily for your pleasure. Enjoy the "full gain" feeling of happiness where you feel able to overcome difficulties with light pedal pressure. The e-Xelius will bring you that little help you need when climbing as if you were carried by the crowd.
1. The Xelius SL Disc frame is a sure bet.
Ever since its launch in 2015, the Xelius SL has been the spearhead of our racing range. Comfortable thanks to its technology and 3D Tubular design, offering performance and flexibility thanks to its racing geometry and excellent climbing ability. For us, it was obvious that the first electric-assisted road bike in the Lapierre range could only be based on the Xelius SL carbon frame. The e-Xelius SL Disc remains a specialised bike for climbing and covering long distances with the assistance needed to exceed your limits through mountain passes and other climbs.
While always seeking out the best compromise for achieving lightweight and still retaining the same stiffness, both the frame and the fork that naturally still use UD SL carbon, have been reinforced with changes to the head tube, the diagonal tube and the pedal spindle.
The new e-Xelius SL perfectly integrates the Fazua motor drive system while limiting the frame empty weight to 1.65 kg for an M size.
Key Features:
- UD SL carbon construction for lightweight and reactivity
- Performance-oriented geometry
- Perfectly integrated Fazua motor drive
- Tubular 3D technology for comfort and exclusive design
- Disc brakes for safety and powerful braking
2. Fazua assistance leading the way to a hybrid bike.
Compact, lightweight and quiet, the Fazua Evation Drive System (EDS) is compatible with a conventional double crankset. This ensures that you retain the standard power offered by a 22-speed road bike.
The Fazua EDS also offers the advantage of being easy to use thanks to its handlebar control for choosing one of three assistance modes: Breeze, River or Rocket and of course the unassisted mode. The battery/motor drive unit then produces 125 watts (Breeze), 250 watts (River) o 400 watts (Rocket) for a good dose of boost on the steepest inclines. The battery has a capacity of 250 Wh that is perfectly suited to road use.
The Fazua Evation Drive System has another advantage, that of offering no pedal resistance when the motor is off or as soon as the assistance cuts-out in excess of 25 kph. You will feel just like you are riding a conventional road bike, offering the same level of pleasure without any hindrance born of unnecessary friction.
If you feel like it, you can also remove the battery/motor drive unit* and use the bike quite normally, reducing its weight by 3.3 kg while making the most of the dynamic performance, stability and comfort of the e-Xelius SL.
*a cover will be made available by Fazua
3. e-Xelius SL geometry, retaining its sporty spirit.
With a design based on the former first-generation Xelius SL Disc chassis, the frame retains its sporty spirit with excellent stability born of its base length and its wheelbase. If you find climbing pleasant you will be reassured on the way back down by the bike's stability.
The e-Xelius SL Disc comes in five frame sizes from XS to XL for the men's model and in two frame sizes (M and L) for the Women's layout.
Occasionally, without notice, manufacturers change product design and/or specifications.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimeters for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but is like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the e mountain bike column.
