      Excellent and Versatile Jacket

Given that England is currently experiencing a 30°C heatwave I've yet to test this jacket in cold weather, hence the four stars for performance. What is immediately clear is that the material is completely waterproof, I placed the sleeve under a tap for about ten seconds and the water simply ran off and the material itself was left bone dry afterwards. It is worth noting that the seams are not sealed so water ingress through the stitching would be likely in prolonged heavy rain. Luckily, seams can be sealed pretty easily, a cursory YouTube search brought up a lot of tutorials on how to do this, so it isn't too much of a problem. The jacket is fairly close fitting, but my size small looks as though it will allow for a few other layers to be worn underneath in really frigid temperatures. I'm 170cm, 64kg and a size small provided a perfect close fit, I suggest ordering your normal size for a comfortable sporty fit or go a size up for a more relaxed one. There are three standard deep pockets at the rear of the jacket with mesh bottoms for water drainage, there is one zipped pocket that accommodates my android smartphone fairly snuggly, this should suffice for all but the largest of devices. The collar is high and seems as though it'd do a good job of keeping the wind out, but again I've been unable to test this comprehensively. The material is surprisingly thin, and provides a good amount of stretch. The jacket can be rolled up very compactly and also offers very good breathability, especially given the waterproof properties. The rear extends well over the rider's ass and the front is also an excellent length, short enough not to crumple when you're hunched over but plenty long enough to provide protection from the elements. The gripper is fine, it could be a bit grippier if you want to be picky but this really makes no difference. My only concern is that this jacket may suffer when the temperature really plummets, however all other reviews of the item haven't suggested this to be the case. Overall, this jacket provides superb waterproofing, impressive versatility and a pleasant, understated style. When you consider that the garment is manufactured in England, the value for money is seriously impressive. I thoroughly reccomend the Lusso Aqua Repel Jacket to anyone seeking a breathable, waterproof softshell for use on cold autumn or spring rides, as well as during the winter months in the UK or northern Europe where weather conditions may be unpredictable.
