Product Description

The Minoura RDA 2429 turbo trainer is unique. Instead of using a tyre/roller system, the Minoura 2429 contacts your wheel rim and not your tyre.

This is ideal for those who use indoor cycling trainers regularly as you don’t wear through your tyres as fast.

There are 7 levels of resistance so you can optimise your training session intensity to your needs. The Minoura RDA 2429 rim drive turbo trainer is also compatible with road and mountain bikes (fits wheels between 24” and 29”/700c).

Turbo trainer solution for 142x12 thru axle
by Brad B on 18/10/2016

I looked everywhere trying to find an easy/cheap TT solution for my 29er with 142x12 thru axle. After some extra experiments with adapters it finally works! Just needs a Kinetic Traxle, but you need to check which thread matches your setup at Kinetic site: https://kurtkinetic.com/products/thru-axles/ Pros: Works with 29er 2.2" MTB tyres Easy to set up Quiet Relatively cheap for solid TT Cons: Limited variation in the resistance
