The roll top closure is a bit stiff and slower than a flap, but it does guarantee the contents will keep dry. So nice not to have everything wrapped in plastic/dry bags. Easy to adjust the mounting points. Fits securely to my 10mm front rack. Quick to fit, instant to remove. The bolts do intrude inside but are quite wide and smooth so shouldn't damage contents, unlike the pointier rivets on my previous panniers. Note, as they are a single layer of thick material, the black is black on the inside, which makes finding things a bit tricky. Some internal organisation, even one hanging pocket, would be welcome, but perhaps difficult to implement to Ortlieb standards. I'm just using one for commuting: size is ideal for tablet, book, u-lock, tools, light sweater, waterproof and small lunch box. Wish I'd got Ortlieb years ago... seem worth the extra cost.
