Great Bike Stand

Bought this Park Tool bike stand and have to say it does the job really well. Paid £85 which I thought wasn’t too bad, there are other cheaper bike stands around but the build quality on this is very good and the finish is great. I’m very happy with it. Would recommend

Excellent Stand - Delighted

I had been thinking about cheaper alternatives but decided to go for the Park Tool as it looks so sturdy. Was not disappointed. Its well designed and reassuringly strong. Perfect for working with. Brilliant for indexing gears, removing bottom bracket or just giving your bike a general clean. (Only gripe and its a small one. Would be nice to have quick release to move the stand vertically. Might be available in more advanced models, but a couple of key screws to adjust, like I say its a small gripe). Definitely worth the money.

All you would ever need

This is an absolutely brilliant bike stand. It is all you would ever need. I built my new hardtail on it in the summer and have since used it to service and upgrade other bikes. Very sturdy and easy to set up. Also, not too expensive if bought at the correct time.

Great stand

Perfect for bike maintenance or washing your bike after a muddy ride. Some reviews comment on the small opening on the clamp but never found it an issue on my road or mtb. One minor niggle, would have preferred a clamp to adjust the height rather than have to use allen keys, but other than that, perfect.

Great Stand

Solid well made stand, after using it for a few weeks now I have realised how easy working on your bike is when you don't have to balance it against a wall and get on your knees ! Would recommend this stand to any home mechanic, holds the bike firmly at the right height and can be angled to suit the task you are performing !

Sturdy Workstand *****

The PCS9 from Park Tool is a great sturdy item no more leaning against walls steps doors etc instead giving you the freedom to work & clean around your bike with no problems. A very strong & weighty stand with a fantastic grip head rotating either horizontally or vertically to suit your preference & will not mark your frame in any way. Thoroughly recommend to any bike owner & worth every penny.

Park Tool PCS9 Home Mechanic Repair Stand

Excellent stand very strong and rigid. When I first saw the picture on Tredz website I thought to myself that stand looks flimsy weak but as soon as I received it by post and opened the packaging I was very impressed and I am so pleased to be able to work on my bike with ease instead of having to lean it against a dustbin. I can now align my callipers and work on my brakes without having to get on my knees. Very happy especially for the bargain price! Its solid mate.

Park PCS9

Wellbuilt easy to assemble and use makes maintenance so much easier. Its heavy but provided you don't want a portable stand its hard to fault it.

Workshop Tools Guide

What are home and workshop tools?

Home and workshop tools allow you to tinker around with your bike to your heart’s content. Whether that’s making a simple height adjustment or building a bike from scratch, kitting yourself out with your own mini workshop will give you hours of pleasure which will either annoy or delight your significant other(s).

Who needs a home and workshop tools?

Even novice cyclists will benefit from learning a few simple techniques. However, the more cycling you do, the more likely you are to want to learn how everything works and carry out minor repairs yourself.

What are the choices?

There are home and workshop tools available for all levels of rider, from a full tool kit to a simple torque wrench.

What should I buy with it?

Bike stands hold your steed in place to keep it steady and an apron and a pair of gloves will save your clothing from damage or smudges.

Anything else?

If in doubt, take your bike to your local bike shop for repairs. Better to have an expert fix it than to accidentally cause a fair few pounds worth of damage by having a go yourself.
