Super warm but untestedinI rain yet

I bought these in mid winter when it was raining every day, when I got them it stopped so they are untested in the wet, but do seem waterproof when hand washed. But WARM! Red hot, my hands are superbly warm in these in frosty weather. Only downside was the palm grip is coming off after only a few rides.

polaris gloves

These gloves are great for the winter and they are really waterproof. Found them a little tight when new but they stretched after a bit of use.

Cycling Gloves Guide

What are cycling gloves?

Cycling gloves are specially adapted to cosset your hands while riding. Cycling can put a lot of pressure on your palms, so dedicated bike gloves are very important.

Who needs cycling gloves?

Every rider will benefit from gloves. They aren’t just to keep your hands warm – they provide grip, protection and essential padding.

What are the choices?

Long fingered for winter, short fingered or mitts for summer. Off roaders might want long gloves, perhaps with armoured knuckles, all year round. There are gloves with minimal padding and seams, or mitts with gel cushioning to protect your nerves.

What should I buy with it?

More gloves! Most cyclists will need a long fingered pair of gloves in winter and mitts for summer.

Anything else?

About that little bit of terry fabric on the thumb – yes, it really is for wiping your snotty nose on as you ride. Because of this, you really need to be washing your gloves as often as you wash the rest of your kit.
