Product Description

SDG Components Bel Air 2.0 Solid Ti-Rail Saddle

The Bel-Air saddles are the modern classics - giving ultimate comfort, support and control. The Bel Air 2.0 uses a resilient nylon base that allows extra flex on the edges through each pedal stroke and incorporates a base bridge for stiffness and ideal power transfer.

The Bel Air 2.0 uses the lightest EVA Foam available and is strategically designed with a rear-rise which helps rotate the pelvis forward and can give extra support for one who likes to use the saddle's Optimal Rideable Area (ORA). The Bel-Air 2.0 incorporates the peri-canal - a full length channel to eliminate pressures to the soft-tissue, a nose platform which gives greater surface area control and power transfer and a down curved nose for moving forward on the saddle on seated climbs or in an aggressive forward riding position.

Available in multiple seamless covering options, these decade proven designs are the ultimate tool for a wide variety of cyclists.

  • Decade proven design for all around comfort and functionality
  • Peri-canal to eliminate soft tissue pressures
  • Seamless microfibre top available in multiple colour options with black painted graphics
  • Nose platform allows greater surface area for more control and power transfer
  • Rear rise rotates pelvis forward for added support
  • Comfort cleavage
  • Injection moulded tail and nose bumpers
  • Weight 215g

My new favourite

My arse has always been SDG Bel Air shaped, but the old style is definitely looking a tad long in the tooth now. A bit big & bulky. I tried the mk2 version thinking it might be too hard & sporty. It is both of those things, but after 5 minutes I didn't even notice the saddle. Just how it should be! I can take or leave the pattern on top but the material is ace. Far less abrasive than the mk1's. I'm confident my shorts will last longer because of it. The solid Ti version is top of the range & Tredz have them on at a killer price. BUY!

Saddles Guide

What are saddles?

The saddle is your bicycle seat.

Who needs a saddle?

Saddles do become worn over time and need replacing, but many people choose to upgrader the standard saddle on their new bike to something more suitable for their needs.

What are the choices?

You can choose saddles in different widths, for male or female riders. There’s not really a clear division between road and mountain bike saddles, so you need to choose a shape and type suited for your physiology as much as your riding style.

What should I buy with them?

Saddles are only one half of the backside comfort equation – reward your rear with a padded set of cycling shorts for full comfort.

Anything else?

There’s no single shape of saddle that’s comfortable for everyone – some people prefer deep padding and lots of cleverly designed pressure relief cut outs. Others favour a flat, no nonsense design.
