Decent replacement fork for an old full suspension mtb

I was looking for a 26" reasonable quality fork to rejuvenate an old 2006 Trek Liquid 55 full suspension cross country mountain bike, which I am donating to my son. I wasn't prepared to spend more than 250, and wanted a minimum of 120 mm travel, as the old forks (Manitou Minute 2) had 130 mm travel and rebound adjustment. These Epixon forks have the same features with just 10 mm less travel but have the bonus of a handlebar mounted remote lock out. When I bought these the description said the axle diameter was 9mm Quick Release with 15mm Thru Bolt as an option. This turned out to be untrue as the 15mm thru bolt is a different model costing about £30 more. This annoyed me as I had bought a new front hub that could accept the 15mm option. I had to stick with the 9mm and couldn't get the benefit of the additional strength axle. Overall fairly pleased with the built quality. My bike mechanic advised they are entry level and I may struggle to find spares. They should do for what I want for a few years as I wasn't prepared to spend too much on the bike.
