Product Description

The Shimano AM9 SPD mountain bikes shoes are ideal for epic trail riding and Enduro. The channel design on the outsole offers a more stable and stiff platform between your shoe and pedal when you're not clipped in.

Tread on the toe and heel area improves grip when you're out of the saddle. These MTB shoes are stylish and look great on or off the bike.

Key Features:

  • New Pedal Channel design on the outsole provides more stable platform between shoe and pedal when not clipped in
  • Traction tread on toe & heel enhances grip
  • EVA Foam construction reduces shoe weight down to 744g in size 40 and absorbs less water than its predecessor
  • Asymmetrically raised padded ankle collar and sidewall sole protect your foot
  • Armored Lace shield provides an extra layer of protection from dirt and debris
  • Standard lace up closure under the debris shield with an additional through-ring velcro strap provides a secure foot hold with even tension
  • Weight: 744g (size 40)

A good platform with a cleat

Bought these shoes for my daughter and now buying them for me. They are well made with a great sole, its grippy rubber and has a recessed cleat so if you don't manage to clip in there's still plenty of grippy surface to get onto the pedal. The cleat is easily found despite being recessed. The only improvements would be to have a tongue that's sealed up the sides so that they are more waterproof and the Velcro that secures the overlace cover gets clogged up and loses its grip, but that always happens on Velcro.
