Top all-rounder

Saw this bike reduced (as it was last season’s) and as a long travel 29er it fit the bill. I also have a Demo 8 so another Specialized was appealing. Tredz gave me a lovely call letting me know that they’re building it and it will arrive in a couple days and it did! The bag of goodies that Tredz send is nice (pedals, reflectors, multi-tool, shoe bag) but the plastic toe-clip pedals were a bit of a waste on this kind of bike. I had an issue with the seatpost not locking out correctly and I was unable to loosen the cable any further at the lever so had to re-install it. The bike is a blast, it’s already saved me a few times from terrible line choice, the revised geometry working a treat. It climbs steadily and isn’t too uncomfortable to sit on all day.
