Product Description

Explore the open road with the Specialized tarmac Sport road bike. With efficient power transfer and an aggressive riding position you will ride faster than you’ve ever gone before.

Frame & Fork

Choose any Tarmac model and you’re getting an incredibly advanced frame and fork, honed through years of development by Specialized. The FACT 9r carbon frame is very strong and stiff rolled up into a lightweight package. Carbon composite material absorbs road vibrations far better than an aluminium frame giving you a more comfortable ride.

Upfront oversized top and down tubes wrap around the headtube eliminating any potential weak spots. Combined with the tapered headtube design, this increases your steering response due to a stiffer frame and fork junction.

A full carbon fork also helps to improve steering precision in a lightweight package that, just like the frame, also helps to soak up road buzz.

Oversized bottom bracket and chainstays are molded together as one unit. This results in a super stiff unit that resists deflection under load. Your acceleration improves as more of your power is being transferred directly to the drivetrain.

Rider-First Engineered

Each frame size is specifically engineered for the needs of the individual rider. No matter your height the ride experience will be the same as all other riders. Smaller riders benefit from a lighter, more balanced bike with improved handling in the corners. Larger riders benefit from a marked increase in steering response.

Testing and development of Rider-First engineering is carried out in partnership with McLaren F1.

Equipped is a Shimano 105 11-speed groupset with FSA Gossamer Pro semi compact chainset offering a spread of gears for taking on big climbs with ease.

The addition of a carbon seatpost further helps to reduce road vibrations, and the AXIS 2.0 wheelset provides excellent performance in a durable package.
