Cycling Glasses Guide

What are cycling glasses?

Cycling glasses are protective eyewear that is made to guard your eyes from flying debris and high speed insects, as well as from the sun and rain. They are designed to fit with your cycling helmet so they won’t fall off as you ride.

Who needs cycling glasses?

Whether you ride on road or off road, you need a pair of cycling glasses for protection and comfort. They’ll stop you squinting into the sun and getting distracted, so they’ll improve your riding experience immeasurably.

What are the choices?

There are quite a lot of frame shapes and arm lengths to choose from so there should be something to suit your face. Larger lenses give more protection and there are different lens colours to match the light conditions you’re riding in.

What should I buy with it?

Cycling glasses go hand in hand with helmets as they fit together. Make sure you choose a helmet that’ll work well with your glasses. Clashing colours are a cycling faux pas too.

Anything else?

Lots of glasses have interchangeable lenses so they’re brilliant value. You can swap the lenses depending on the conditions, which is like having several pairs of glasses in one.
