Superb

Its a bit heavier than an all plastic item but durability is excellent. Fits in the frame and stays put . The best part is the ease of inflation . No need to break a sweat with this bad boy . While micro pumps may be good for weight weenies i am far more old school where form follows function and this pump has amazing function . It also doesnt look out of place on my 1950 higgins ultralight . Great service from tredz as usual .

Topeak Road Master Blaster

A proper frame fit pump. Well made, works well with a clever spring mechanism to keep it on the bike. Enables you to pump up your tyres to a decent pressure before your arm falls off!.

Substantial pump

I've had bad luck with this pump as the first had a handle locking mechanism which did not work and the replacement arrived damaged in the post! It is a substantial pump and has a Velcro strap to fix it firmly to the crossbar. It fits a variety of frame sizes. I cannot comment on performance as I never got to use it!

Excellent

Great item - and ignore the review that says it is heavy it is not. So- excellent quality and the only pump on the market that I could find which also includes the dimples to allow peg fit.

Well made. Heavy

This is very easy to use and I know that we don't by an oldschool frame pump to save weight! 10 out of 10 for build quality. Could be used as a dumbell with some weights on the end. Achieves high pressures and without the burning arm muscles we get with minipumps. For a handy packable pump to take away on holidays this isnt bad but the Zefal HPX Classic is much lighter and works just as well. not the REV88 which just doesn't work at all!

Bike Pumps Guide

What are bike pumps?

A bike pump is essential for keeping your tyres inflated, preventing pesky pinch punctures and providing more efficient riding. Tyres gradually deflate even if your bike stays inactive for a while, so it’s good practice to top them up as often as you can.

Who needs a bike pump?

Anyone with a bike. A mini pump or CO2 cannister can be vital in getting you home after a puncture, or to work on time if you’re commuting.

What are the choices?

Traditional pumps are easy to use and inexpensive to buy. A hand pump is operated with a pumping action and is available in standard or mini size. Both types can be fitted to eyelets in your bike frame or smaller pumps will fit in a saddle bag. Track or floor pumps are great for the garage – inflating high psi levels in just a couple of movements. CO2 cannister instantly release air into your tyres and are diminutive in size.

What should I buy with it?

If your pump isn’t compatible the valve on your tyre (Presta or Schrader) you may need to buy an adaptor. CO2 cartridges require a small adaptor for use.

Anything else?

A gauge is a good way of seeing how much air you’ve added, preventing the dreaded pop sound from an overambitious inflation. Also, NEVER take CO2 cartridges with you on an aeroplane!
