Expensive but worth it.

I have used these cages for 7 years on multiple bikes. The semi side entry is excellent and allows a more natural entry and exit of the bottle. They are, however, very, very stiff. So, taking bottles out and reinserting them requires a fair bit more effort than your garden variety cage. This does mean that they hold your bottles quite well. I use Camelbak Podium bottles and have never had one eject from the cage, regardless of terrain. One pair is now 7 years old and still going strong. So, very durable. I guess that helps to sooth the pain from the extremely high price. If you use standard water bottles then I guess any cage might do. If you use non standard (like Podium) then these Sidekicks are a good choice.
