Aztec V-type Insert Brake Blocks are the ideal replacement for cartridge-style V-brake carriers. Sold in a handy pack of two pairs, they're made of sturdy Aztec compound and will help provide superb braking power whatever the weather.

They're compatible with the Aztec V-type System, Shimano mountain bike cartridge systems and many other third party models. All you need to do is slide out the worn pad and slip in the new one without having to reset the brake pad position.

    Excellent Value

These replacement brake pads are excellent value - cheaper and easier than replacing the whole brake block assembly. Tredz also have the best price I can find on the web, as of Dec 2015. The pads have decent stopping power and last for ages. For me though, whilst they are easier to replace than a full brake block, it’s not exactly quick or hassle free - removing the retaining pins is fiddly, and sliding the old pads out and new ones in is not a smooth process either (WD40 helps). Getting the retaining pins back in can be tricky, depending on the position of your brakes relative to the bike frame.

    Good Product - Good Price

Good product at a good price. Easy to fit to blocks now over 20 years old. Performance appears to be good so far. Good value.

    Good brakes

Good product, less waste than buying the whole brakes, good value - can't find them cheaper anywhere else. Can be fiddly to fit sometimes.

    Aztec Replacement Brake blocks

Easy economical alternative to replacing blocks and carrier each time. Aztec blocks have good stopping power even in the wet and are reasonably long lasting on my hybrid. Recommended
