The Madison Road Race Apex waterproof cycling jacket will keep you dry in the harshest downpours with a 15,000mm waterproof rating whilst being breathable so you don’t overheat.

Madison’s Apex cycling jacket is suited to road racers with a snug and aero fit that’s not too tight and with no flapping fabric in the wind.

Fit is spot on with an elasticated waistband and slight drop tail to protect your lower back. The cuffs are also elasticated to prevent a draught and the tall collar is fleece lined for comfort.

Many waterproof cycling jackets suffer from poor breathability but the Madison Road Race Apex comes with a rating of 15,000gms (up there with the best). In addition there are two effective arm vents and chest vents that can cool you further should you need it.

    Excellent race fit jacket.

As others have said, the great reviews are not wrong, great race oriented fit with good ventilation and comfortable to wear. Price is good too with the Tredz discount currently on offer. Would highly recommend. I bought a small, I'm 5' 9", 147lbs.

    Brilliant racy waterproof

I bought this after a rave road.cc review and it is brilliant. The fit is great and although 2.5 layer jackets have a reputation for limited breathability this one was really intelligent ventilation features from the zipped arm and chest vents to the lazer cut ones on the back with storm flap covers.Great fit performance and value. Makes a £180 Rapha Rain jacket look woefully underengineered. Would by again without hesitation

    Quality!

The jacket is certainly waterproof & comfortable. On a two hour ride in showers it kept the rain out temperature was helped by the zip vents on the chest and sleeves. A bargain at £80 feels & looks more expensive. The fit of the XL was also spot on 511" and 14 stone.

Cant quite give it 5 stars

Cos of the limited colour choices!Excellent design fit and function good breathability and clever vents and Tredz excellent price. The only real criticism is the lack of a Hi Viz option for those of us that like to stand out in dim light when commuting to the centre of London!

Feels like a more expensive garment

Quality of the jacket is great to look at and touch it seems like a more expensive Castelli Sportful type offering. Have only worn once so far and typically the forecast rain never came! but fit was good breathability coped well with the fact I was overdressed. Only complaint was chest vent zips are very tricky to close on the move.

    Great jacket

Windy and 6C today and wore the jacket for the first time with a good base layer underneath. I took another base layer just in case but never needed it. I had the vents open part of the 46 mile ride which was at a good pace and was never cold and only very slightly damp at times. So the breathability is good. Overall I'm pleased with the jacket and would buy it again!
