Specialized Ariel Comp Disc Womens 2016 - Hybrid Sports Bike
The Ariel Comp Disc is a lightweight Ladies hybrid bike that has features of both mountain and road bikes so it feels equally at home on rough gravel tracks as it does on the road.
Frame and Fork
Made from Specialized’s M4 aluminium the frame is both lightweight and durable. Double butted tubes have had excess material removed from low stress areas to shave off a few grams without sacrificing strength. Internal gear cable routing keeps the lines of the bike nice and clean.
Featuring Women’s Fitness Geometry the Ariel Comp disc has an upright riding position that is a little more sporty than the other Ariel models so you can reach your goal a little quicker.
The Custom SR Suntour suspension fork is tuned for lighter riders and features multi circuit damping for true off-road performance. Tuned for lighter riders the 50mm of suspension travel will take the sting out of rough road surfaces. A remote lever means that you can lock the fork out on the fly for extra efficiency on smooth road surfaces.
Components
The Shimano SLX 2x10 speed drivetrain offers a wide range of gears with a user friendly double chainring. Crank lengths are size specific so that you can be sure of optimum pedaling efficiency whether you ride an XS or an L
Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes offer powerful and reliable stopping power in all weather conditions. You can control your speed with confidence whether it is wet or dry.
Women’s Body Geometry grips and saddle are shaped to offer great support so that you remain comfortable on the bike for longer.
- Designed for women who want to mix adventure with fitness, the dirt-ready and lightweight M4 Aluminium frame features Women's Fitness Geometry-meaning you'll go fast with maximum efficiency, but without the discomfort of an aggressive ride position. The more comfortable you are, the longer you'll ride.
- Enjoy greater control over varying terrain thanks to the custom, easy-adjust, Multi-Circuit Damping fork with 50mm of travel, tuned for lighter riders.
- Hydraulic Disc brakes by Shimano provide powerful stopping power in all conditions, while also reducing hand fatigue while braking.
