The wheel does not come with a cassette. My mistake, although it would really help if they made clear in the catalogue that the cassette is not included; the wording makes it sound like it comes with a 7-speed cassette.

Sorry Raleigh but this is terrible! :-(

Awful, awful wheel. It is claimed to be "built in the UK" and "made in France", but whoever made it I can't believe it was made by Raleigh. If this was really made by Raleigh they have gone right down the toilet. The wheel is trued perfectly okay, I can't see any problem there, but the material is of the poorest grade and the join has an obvious sharp edge that will definitely cause a puncture, no question about it. I could try sanding it down but there is a visible gap and the 7-speed cassette is missing anyway, so this thing is going back. I hope Tredz offer me a refund on postage. Tredz simply should not be stocking junk like this. I would have been quite happy to pay more for a good wheel but options for 7-speed trekking bikes are limited which is why I opted for this cheap wheel, but it's unusable. I would be better off getting the original wheel repaired; unfortunately the old-type freewheel cassette is seized-on and I doubt even the bike shop will succeed in getting it off. I don't like to give super-low ratings if I can help it, and I'd almost give this wheel 2 stars for build quality, but as I said, it really is not roadworthy. Cosmetically it looks just fine from a distance, but on close inspection it's a bad wheel.
